African Operations

Resolute’s African operations are focused on the Syama Gold Mine in Mali, the Mako Gold Mine in Senegal, the Bibiani Gold Mine in Ghana and our extensive exploration opportunities.

Syama is a world class, robust, long-life asset capable of producing more than 300,000 ounces of gold per annum from existing processing infrastructure. Resolute is currently developing the world’s first fully automated underground gold mine at Syama which will deliver a low cost, large scale operation with a mine life beyond 2032.

Mako is a high quality, low cost, open pit mine with attractive scale and strong growth potential. The mine is targeting an average annual production of 140,000oz at an AISC of US$780/oz over a seven year mine life, and identified exploration targets have the potential to further increase the mine life. In Ghana, the Company has completed a feasibility study on the Bibiani Gold Mine focused on the development of an underground operation requiring modest capital and using existing plant infrastructure. Resolute is currently undertaking a strategic review to evaluate options for Bibiani.

Resolute also controls an extensive exploration footprint along the highly prospective Syama Shear and greenstone belts in Mali, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea, and is active in reviewing new opportunities to build shareholder value.
